EuPathDB Workshop

2-Day EuPathDB Workshop

This workshop will focus on providing attendees with hands-on training in EuPathDB's genomic scale data analysis based on parasite genomic resources.  Attendees should expect to become familiar with using databases such as PlasmoDB, ToxoDB, FungiDB, CryptoDB and TriTrypDB to support their basic research.  Topics to be covered include:

  • Genome browsing and comparative genomics
  • Formulating complex biological queries in computationally accessible form
  • Integrating functional genomics data (microarrays, proteomics, transcriptomics, etc) with genome sequence data
  • Theoretical aspects of genome re-sequencing

When: 9:30am on Monday, August 8 to 6:00pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2016

Where: University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia

Number of course participants: This course is limited to 30 participants.

Computer/Network Access: Participants are expected to bring their own laptops to the workshop. Internet access will be provided.
